What have wishing words giv’n me
Besides a wand’ring mind
What have whirling words giv’n me
Besides the need to rhyme;
Would I sit; soliloquy
If I had never known
Would I stare; tranquility
Whilst others study phones;
Am I the higher, better one
To wander, rhyme, and muse
Am I the thoughtful, ‘lightened one
Or am I just amused?
Definitely thoughtfully enlightened. 🙂

I like your website description: “language paintings”. Or a portrait of words? Or a portrait of syntax?

Thanks! I’ve found creativity to hardly be limited to one form, and sought a sort of synesthesia in my description. 🙂

And continue to eye
The laughing face
At the end of the race.

This poem is quite good – I love the 19th cent’ry feel.

I’m finding it does ok when I don’t have a day working on the thesis, but on days when I do have to work on the thesis, it gets worse.
So I think there must be a psychosomatic element.
