My newly-discovered friend and excellent poet, Hobbo, nominated me for a Mystery Award awhile back. Here are the questions I am to answer (and my answers):
- How did you get into blogging? -Once upon a midnight dreary as I sat with eyes all bleary, trying to make Facebook full of my reposted lore, a friend said, “Try a blog, you fool!” -and so I did, and so I love it evermore. (And, I wanted to write a book.)
- What makes you tick? -Chocolate. Definitely chocolate.
- Who would you swap places with for a day… -At this point, a coddled sloth in the nicest zoo in existence.
- …and why? -Sleep!
- What is the silliest thing you’ve ever done? -As a teenage Girl Scout, I sang and danced on top of the tables with my fellow Cadettes at day camp.
Thanks for the fun questions! I encourage anyone interested in great suggestions for sites to follow to read the other awards posts I’ve done.
To fulfill the requirements from Hobbo, I need to write three things about me: I am brunette, brown- eyed, and love socks. A favorite post I thought to share is “Flat-footed.”
Here, also, are questions anyone can answer:
- If the sky were purple, would you ask why it’s blue?
- What’s the answer to life, the universe, and where I left my car keys?
- Why?
- What is your favorite breakfast cereal?
- If you could meet any author, living or dead, why would you want to practice necromanic reanimation??

In the meantime, here are the ‘rules’ for this award:
Display the award logo on your blog.
Thank the blogger who nominated you, and provide a link to their blog.
Mention Okoto Enigma, the creator of the award.
Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
Answer the 5 questions in my list.
Nominate 10-20 bloggers
Notify your nominees by leaving a comment on their blog.
Ask your nominees 5 questions of your choice, including one weird or funny question.

My blog is and will remsin award free, unless sent for winning a writing/story comp. But I laughed at your answers. Especially the sloth. And you will see I liked the favourite post. We could have something in common. 🤔😉

Yes, I use them like a ‘getting to know you’ thing and don’t pressure anyone to answer.

When I began blogging I had so many and nobody wanted me to invite them after the first few. I did not have time to write, so became award free.

I’m more casual about it, for sure.

Ooh, I want to be a sloth, too! I used to love getting up early, and then distance learning happened and now I just want to avoid trying to convince a 6 year old to sit in front a computer for 3 hours and then do a long list of homework. It would be nice to slow all the way down and sleep all day.

You and me, both. I hate how much screen time online school involves!

Ironically, schools spent the whole first month of school last year telling us parents to limit screen time, and now they’re saying 3+ hours a day is required…

Not one to claim an open award — and not in the mood for an award post anyway — but I just have to answer these questions…
1: Depends on the shade of purple.
2: 42, of course. The keys will doubtless be in the 42nd place you look.
3: Because that’s just the way it is.
4: Krave; Because I, too, run on chocolate — any chocolate.
5: Because summoning up the author of the Necronomicon — or, barring that, perhaps Lovecraft himself — would be rather apropos, no? Also, it could be an interesting experience… assuming we’re not talking a Fullmetal Alchemist sort of resurrection.

At last! Someone to find my keys! And, one who obviously understands reanimation and chocolate, to boot!

Ha! Oh, no, you still have to search in all prior 41 places. Unless you happen to be an excellent chess player, and can see that far ahead.
Of course: reanimation and chocolate go together remarkably well, you know. Though, having the word “boot” in such near vicinity to “chocolate” makes me uneasy…

😀 Don’t worry, your chocolate is safe.

I think that you should revisit a bit of table top dancing. I hear it’s the new yoga.

😀 😀 Yes, it definitely involves falling over.

Singing on a table? Did you get in trouble?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Nope. It was fully permissible. We taught the other girl scouts songs that way.

Oh, interesting. I was a Brownie for a little while, but I didn’t like it and quit at some point.
