Here at the Carrot Ranch, we take the business of 99-word literary art seriously. Those who participate in the Ranch prompts or yearly Rodeo saddle up to TUFF (The Ultimate Flash Fiction) it out and train new Rough Riders as we go. Now, the Ranch is hosting a new event to sharpen minds, welcome new hands, and celebrate one of our own the best way we know how: our first ever Rodeo Classic.

            1. Sorry, Ruth. That’s if you want to add a descriptor to the title. Like: Woods (title), A Story of Trees (byline). It’s not necessary. Even the title is not necessary, if you don’t want one.

      1. I agree. I wrote my 99 in Word, but when I put it into the counter, it counted 100, so I deleted one. I hope it counted 99 for the judges. I’ll be disappointed if it’s disqualified. I don’t expect to win, but I’d like to at least qualify.
