The problem
you see
with pregnancy
isn’t so much
the growing baby
it’s
trying to sit
or to stand
or to lay
whilst hefting a lump
that you can’t put away
that stays
parasitic
exactly midway.

Precisely!

Cleverly shown—something we men will never entirely understand. A lump that grows. This feels like the moment I should insert a clip from The Mummy, “It’s alive!”

😀 Exactly! Or, from “Aliens!”

Parasitic? LOL. What a way to describe the lump. Great poem, Chel, and I liked the format. I felt like I was rolling from side to side. Fortunately, pregnancy comes to an end before the next phase of exhaustion sets in.

Two must be a stretch… Pardon the pun but more than that is just amazing!!
