I don’t know if it’s the same where you are, Chel, but I notice here people do clap their own small achievements. Celebrity guests on tv panel shows, mainly.
Personally, I never go out these days without a good bunch of ticker tape in the back pocket.
The Internet’s come on a bit: making its own quotes now. 😆

😀 You are right. Some are too keen on trumpeting their own achievements, great or small. The real advice should be to actually work on something laudable, then feel a healthy pride in the thing.
