All I wanted was to sing
I didn’t know I’d be puking
For, songs are usu’lly not sick’ning
Unless you’re nervous and lock your legs
I didn’t know I’d be puking
From the back row, on an upswing
Unless you’re nervous and lock your legs
My peers were angry and dripping
From the back row, on an upswing
For, songs are usu’lly not sick’ning
My peers were angry and dripping
All I wanted was to sing

Yes, this happened. Fifth grade. I still don’t know if I was sick or simply locked my knees. At least I didn’t hit the audience.
Pantoum is a fun form to try. Go on; write one up and submit it for this week’s Terrible Poetry Contest.
Oh no, Chel, how unlucky for you.

Honestly, the people around me had it much worse.

Ha ha. I think I’d have an unfair advantage. Unless you’re offering to judge?

Worse. They never spoke about it. I didn’t have any friends before and I think I lost any chance of friendship after.

School is so harsh isn’t it. I was bullied throughout my school days. I was glad to see the back of them .

If you locked your knees in formation when I was in the Army you could pass out but I’m no doctor and don’t even play one on TV.

We never could figure out if it was nerves or knee-locking.

That’s still a sad story no matter what.
